QUILT SHOWS

I left Columbia, SC early on April 7, 2013 on a true adventure. I was traveling with 3 longarm quilting sisters from this area. Our destination, Manchester, New Hampshire and MQX Quilt Festival New England. I had 2 quilts accepted into the show and had registered for a full 4 days of classes. I was soooooooo excited.
Karen and Leslie discussing how to set the GPS

We traveled all day on Sunday. We drove through South Carolina, North Carolina, and spent the night in Staunton, Virginia. What beautiful country. I had never traveled into this area. The trees were not yet in bud, but, the pasture land was green and beautiful. Have you ever noticed how many different colors of green are in nature?

Bright and early on Monday morning we were again headed north. We drove through Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, into Pennsylvania and on to New Hampshire. Our destination for Monday was Keepsake Quilting in Center Harbor, Maine. We slept at the Inn that night. There was ICE ON THE LAKE!!!! I'm from South Carolina, I have never seen that. The Inn reminded me of something out of the movie 'Footloose'. Loved it!!
Look way out there. The change in texture of the water is really ice.

Tuesday dawned a little gray, but that didn't stop us from spending hours at Keepsake Quilting. What a quilt shop and the staff were wonderful. We left Center Harbor determined to make it over the river and trough the woods to LLBean in Portland Maine.

As we drove east we talked about our purchases and the wonderful breakfast we had in Center Harbor. You know, with me, the food is almost as important as the fabric. We traveled through some beautiful country. The day stayed gray, but, that didn't bother us. We were on a mission. Once we arrived at LLBean we each spent an hour or two shopping. Then it was back into the van to head to Manchester. The registration desk closes at 5:00 and the Ice Cream Social is at 6:00, so, time to head out.

And then there was ONE!!!!!

That is correct. I only have 1 (ONE) space remaining for our weekend of Judy Niemeyer as presented by Certified Instructor Karen Conley. If you have not registered and are interested...............better hurry. Once this ONE space is gone...that's it. Anyone after that will be placed on a waiting list.

I have had many inquires about our weekend at St. Christopher on Seabrook Island, SC, at the end of October. I will be releasing that event for registration within the next 3 weeks. I am going to be a little busy over the next 15 days and won't have time to post the registration information.........but..........look for it before the end of April.

A lot has been happening here in the studio, but, much of it can't be shared at this time. As soon as it is cleared you will see lots of pictures. In the mean time.............Keep stitchin'.
