Two More Blocks

The blocks for this past week were a lot of fun. The first block was Sweet Tater Pie B-2. Anina gave such great directions and it was really fun to stitch.

The second bloc, B-12 Starflower is in the works.

K-2 Grandpa's Chickens, was a breeze to paper piece and loads of fun, that was one of my extra blocks for the week. That is the pink and white block.

One of the blocks for this week has been assigned and it will be a challenge (Wild Goose Chase B-6), but, I will work on it over the weekend.

I am on my way to the South Carolina Dental meeting this weekend (the machine is in the truck and ready to go), so I will have to pick up my next assigned block when I get back on Sunday.
Have a great weekend.

Baby Jane Goes to Palm Key

Yep, I was with Just Stitchin' last weekend and we went to Palm Key. To see more about our trip check out the Just Stitchin' blog.

These are the blocks that I completed last weekend. I am just posting them all in one picture. The blocks in the upper left hand corner and the lower right corner were the assigned blocks for last week. Anina had suggested paper piecing some of these blocks for accuracy. I can't believe I didn't think of that--Thanks Anina--- you saved me hours of time. Now I have lots of blocks printed out to paper piece. Love the EQ Dear Jane program. Probably wouldn't be doing this without it.
I also completed another applique block that I was working on, so I will post that at a later time. I am spending my time this morning preping the two assisgned blocks for this week. I have to attend a 3 day dental meeting this coming week, so, maybe I will get a chance to work on them. Would you believe that my machine is still in the truck and will go to the meeting with me. Since I don't 'party' I should get several blocks done while I am gone.
Have a great week.

Baby Jane Weekend

I have been getting ready for the Just Stitchin' retreat at Palm Key this weekend. However, that certainly did not stop me from working on my Baby Jane. I completed the assigned block and then did a couple more. Here are the resulting blocks. These were suppose to line up nicely so that we could talk about them, but, as you can see, blogger had other ideas. The first block is the actual assigned block, M-10 Simple Simon. The Second Block with the yellow star, is F-7 Star Struck. The block with the red background and white flowers is, E-1 Aunt Exie's Phlox (I actually did 2 of these and this was the one I kept). The last block is G-2 Mohawk Trail.
I have worked up 12 blocks to take with me to Palm Key next weekend, so we will see how I do on those. These blocks are really addictive. I was really trying to just stay with the assigned blocks, but, I felt compelled to do other too.
Also on the list for next weekend will be a Ocean Waves quilt in miniature. I have been wanting to do one of these, so I thought that I would use the time to start it. I hope to do one regular size at the same time.
That's it for now,

Special Visitor

I did have a special visitor tonight. This is Piper.

We had peanut butter and jelly for supper, along with carrots and grape tomatoes. Oh yes, we had the best Chocolate milk to go with everything.

Now, I need to feed 'The Boys'--more on them later.

Baby Jane Block and Devine Quilters

This is my block for the first part of this week. It is B-4 Chris's Soccer Field. The block has been paper pieced, didn't take long, and was fun to do. Can't wait to see what block is next. So far, I have been able to keep up.

Of course, my other projects aren't going as well. I really wasted last weekend. I spent 2 days playing games on the computer--what a waste!! I just could not seem to get out of the chair and do something else. As soon as I post this, I am pulling out another block that I am working on so that it can possibly be finished in time for our guild meeting Monday night.

That's another thing---Monday night's Devine Guild meeting is a fun fund raiser. We will be selling our talents---If you bake-then you either bake something and bring it, or, print off a gift certificate for that item for a later order. If you garden--share plants, seeds, pots, soil. If you have something special that you might be working on, or something that you started and know that you will not finish---Sell it!!!!!!!!!!! We will be using the silent auction format. I need to find my contribution, but,I think that it will be fun, and we will find something to do while we bid.

That's all for now
